Welcome to the Blackbelt Series – Nile Advanced
Difficulty Level: Advanced
This is the full-feature, capstone-level series. Over a 2-day style format you will build a complete configuration stack, then simulate failures and prove you can troubleshoot and recover. This belt validates that you can run Nile in production-like conditions end to end.
What You Will Learn
- Advanced Wired Access Controls using Nile Trust Service– wired 802.1X, fingerprint onboarding, and lock-to-port policy behavior, along with Trust Engine policies.
- Integration and Operational Automation – webhook workflow and incident creation (e.g., ServiceNow)
- End-to-End Security and Policy Validation – auth failures, wrong credentials, segment mismatch, and a recovery playbook
- 2-Day Capstone Assessment – build a full tenant from a requirement sheet and present validation evidence and a troubleshooting timeline
How to Get the Most Out of This Course
- Follow Instructions Step-by-Step: Carefully perform each lab activity as described. Don't skip steps, as each builds on the previous one. In the capstone, document your sequence so it can be reviewed.
- Take Notes: Jot down any issues, questions, or steps you find important for future reference or troubleshooting. Maintain a running troubleshooting log with timestamps and resolutions.
- Complete the Quiz: Take the end-of-course quiz and the practical capstone seriously—together they confirm production readiness and highlight gaps.
Prerequisites
- Completion of the Greenbelt Series (Nile Intermediate)
- Comfort with RADIUS, 802.1X, segments, and the Access Management workflow
- A full lab topology (wireless + wired clients) available for both days
To pass: complete the written assessment and the practical capstone. You are scored on configuration correctness, identity/policy correctness, security posture validation, troubleshooting quality, and time-to-resolution.
